- Onkyo USA has announced the formation of the Onkyo Pro Division for sales of audio/video components adapted for use in commercial and professional venues such as broadcast facilities, schools, stores, hotels, churches, etc. and semi-pro applications such as DJ usage. “Thanks to Onkyo’s established reputation for performance, quality and reliability, there has been solid on-going demand for the company to offer a line of products adapted for rack-mounted commercial installations,” said John Arce, Director of Sales. “This is a totally new channel of distribution compared to Onkyo’s traditional retail business, so we have established a separate independent rep network consisting of thirteen of the top firms serving this market.” Onkyo Pro will begin operations November 1, 2003, offering the TX-SR601P surround receiver, TX-NR801P surround & Net-Tune™ receiver, TA-RW244P dual cassette deck, and DX-C390P CD changer. In December, the company will deliver two additional receivers, a 2-channel amplifier and two DVD players/changers. Additional models will follow in the spring. Onkyo Pro’s product lineup will be on display at the 2004 NSCA Systems Integration Expo to be held in Las Vegas March 19 – 21, 2004. |
